MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

Summer is the time when we spend everyday one hour or two reading a good book.I don't know what is reading Annie now that she is in the beach, but me is reading "Message in a bottle" by Nicholas Sparks. I've only read one book by this author before it was "The Last Song" , probably one of the best books I've ever read and one of my favourite ones.  So does Laura, a good friend of us who has lent me that book afterwards I lent her "The Last Song".

"Message in a bottle" tells the story of a woman that finds a bottle in the beach where is a letter from a man to her dead wife and certainly it is the most beautiful letter this journalist (Theresa) has ever read. So when she finds two letters more written by the same author she decided to know him and...

Do you want to know how does it end? Come on and read it! I assure you it is worth it, you'll love it as much as me. I can't wait to finish the book! So I leave you :) OMG! I nearly forgot to tell you that there is a film based on that book, so I guess that when I'll finish it, I'll watch it and I'll tell you how it is.

Tomorrow I'm going sales with my good friend Almu, so I'll show you my purchases :)

En verano es cuando dedicamos una hora o dos al día a leer un buen libro, de estos que te enganchen y no puedas dejar de leer. No sé el libro que se estará leyendo ahora Annie en la playa, pero yo estoy leyendo "El Mensaje" de Nicholas Sparks. Sólo he leído un libro de este autor antes y fue "La Última Canción", probablemente uno de los mejores libros que he leído y uno de mis favoritos. Lo mismo sucede con Laura, una buenísima  amiga nuestra que me ha prestado este  libro después de que le prestase "La Última Canción".

"El Mensaje" cuenta la historia de una mujer que encuentra una botella en la playa, donde hay una carta de un hombre a su esposa muerta y sin duda es la carta más hermosa de esta periodista (Theresa)  ha leído jamás. Así que cuando se encuentra con otras dos cartas escritas por el mismo autor se decide a conocerle y ...

¿Queréis saber cómo termina? ¡Pues vamos leerlo! Os aseguro que vale la pena, os va a encantar tanto como a mí.  ¡No puedo esperar a terminar el libro! Así que os dejo:) OMG! Casi se me olvida deciros que hay una película basada en este libro, así que supongo que cuando terminé el libro la veré, y ya os contaré qué tal está.

Mañana me voy de rebajas con mi gran amiga Almu, así que pronto bloggearé lo que me compre :)

GLAMOUR by Blake Lively

Blake Lively is one of the trendiest actress right now, and every magazine wants her to be its cover. Glamour is the last one that has made her its cover. The truth is that she is really pretty, let's see the pics :)

This sitting is inspired in 50's and it's so great. We love the style of that decade and Blake Lively must have had fun a lot during the whole sitting and the result is brilliant.

 

Don't you love the outfit above? It combines perfectly with her blond hair and she is  beautiful. Naif style is so present with those polka dots even in the first look or the second one. Speaking about the first one, don't you think that the pair of red high heels are so sexy, and it's a simple white outfit, but one which is so stylish?

As the sitting is based on 50's black and white photos, which make this sitting a little bit vintage more, couldn't    have been off. One more time the result was brilliant.

The last photo that we are going to show you is made with backlighting, that makes us look to Blake Lively's long beautiful legs, so it's a photo that tries to set off her beauty.

Look! Four celebrities, four covers, one dress... This Gucci's design has been a  success, four magazines have chosen it.

If we had been them, probably we would have chosen another dress, but the truth is that it is original and great, don't you think that the shoulders' feathers are so cool? Maybe this dress is a tacky one, but it's cool at the same time.


Who do you think is the best model for that dress?  From our point of view Leighton Meester, but it is because we love her. However, don't you think she is so pretty and sexy with that dress and with her red lips?

¡Fijaros! Cuatro celebrities, cuatro cubiertas, un vestido ... Este diseño de Gucci ha sido todo un éxito, cuatro revistas lo han elegido para que sea lucido por las celebrities que protagonizan sus portadas.

Si hubiéramos sido ellos, probablemente habríamos elegido otro vestido, pero la verdad es que es original y muy gracioso con esas plumas en los hombros, está bastante bien :) A lo mejor este vestido es un poco hortera, pero la verdad es que tiene un puntillo que no conseguimos entender. LOL ;)

¿Quién creéis que es la mejor modelo para el vestido? Desde nuestro punto de vista Leighton Meester, pero es porque nos encanta. Sin embargo, ¿no creéis está super guapa y muy sexy con ese vestido y con sus labios rojos?

Water for Elephants

Hi bloggers and usual readers! I'm Marta. Today I'm going to talk about Water for Elephants, a new film starring by Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon.. It is set in american Big economical crisis in 30's, Pattinson plays an almost graduated from university in veterinary sciencie. His role is a guy who left his town when his parents died in a car accident. In a dark night, he entered, in a circus train where animals and people who works there where all the time travelling around USA performing their act.

Finally he is hired in the circus, he will be the vet and the tamer of an elephant named Rossie. He is in love with the boss' wife, and she too, so...

I can't tell you more, because if I do it, you'll know what happens in the film, so if you see it, you won't like it because you'll know everything about it.

I assure you that it's a good one, because I went with friends, we didn't arrive to 18:00 pm showing performance, so we had to wait until 19:00 p.m one, but it was worth it.

It's a non fussy love story (although I love them), it's a love story in which two people have to scape from an abuser husband-boss to live with the person that they love. It's a plot with action, fights and tension.

To sum up it's a different kind of love story, one that we aren't used to, so I recommend you it.

Lastly but not least and speaking about the actors, I have to say that Robert Pattison isn't one of my favourites ones, but he did play his role so good, my friends also were agree with me, maybe he played better that vet than the vampire (I love Twilight's books, specially the first one and the fourth one, but the films are not one of my favourites, so does Annie).

From my point of view Reese Witherspoon played her role too good too, but maybe my opinion is wrong, because I've only watched one film starring by her and it's "Legally Blonde", and obviously in that one she played her role less seriously than the one who I watched last day. Finally I must say that the outfits that wore her character were marvellous.

Have you watched it? Do you like it? Have you read the book? Is it good? It is good post a comment so that our readers can know if it is worth it or not reading the book, probably it is worth it because the film was so good and books are used to be better than films. It's title is the same: Water for Elephants.

¿Qué tal estáis?  Soy Marta. Hoy voy a hablar sobre Agua para Elefantes la nueva película protagonizada por Robert Pattinson y Reese Witherspoon .Está ambientada en la Gran Depresión americana de los años 30, Pattinson interpreta a un casi graduado en veterinaria. Su papel es sobre un chico que dejó su ciudad cuando sus padres murieron en un accidente de coche. En una noche oscura, entró en un tren de circo donde los animales y la gente que trabaja allí  estaban todo el tiempo de viaje por los Estados Unidos interpretando sus números.

Finalmente es contratado en el circo, él será el veterinario y el domador de una elefanta llamada Rossie. Él está enamorado de la esposa del jefe, y también ella, así que ...

No os puedo contar más, porque si lo hago, sabréis lo que sucede en la película, así que si la véis, os parecerá un royo porque ya sabriáis lo que iba a pasar.

Os aseguro que está genial, porque fui con unas amigas, no llegamos a la sesión de las seis así que tuvimos que esperar hasta las siete, pero valió la pena.

No es la típica historia de amor ñoña, aunque me encanten, es una historia de amor en la que dos personas tienen que escapar de un marido-jefe maltratador para vivir con la persona que aman. Por lo que la trama está plagada de acción, peleas y tensión.

En resumen se trata de un tipo diferente de la historia de amor, a la que no estamos acostumbrados, así que os la recomiendo.

Por último pero no por ello menos importante, tenemos que hablar del elenco de actores, tengo que decir que Robert Pattison no es uno de mis favoritos, pero interpretó su papel muy bien, mis amigas también estaban de acuerdo conmigo, tal vez interpreta muchísimo mejor el papel de veterinario que el de vampiro (me encantan los libros de Crepúsculo, especialmente el primero y el cuarto, pero las películas no son unas de mis favoritas, lo mismo le pasa a Annie).

Desde mi punto de vista Reese Witherspoon desempeñó su papel muy bien también, pero tal vez mi opinión no sea muy correcta, porque yo sólo la he visto actuar en la película protagonizada por ella "Una rubia muy legal", y, obviamente, en esta su papel era menos serio que el que interpretaba en la que vi el otro día. Por último debo decir que los outfits que llevaba su personaje eran maravillosos.

Si lo habéis leído poner un comentario para que nuestros lectores puedan saber si vale la pena o no leerlo, probablemente vale la pena porque la película es muy buena y los libros suelen estar mejor que las películas. Su título es el mismo: Agua para elefantes.

Red Riding Hood, who's afraid?

While Annie was in the Big Apple, I was here in Madrid, in charge of our blog and having fun.

One day I met with some friends of us to go to the cinema to watch "Red Riding Hood, who's afraid?" and  I do like it, so do my friends. The film is so entertaining and when you find out who is the wolf, you become too surprise because you've never put the blame on him, I mean, you suspect one is the wolf, but then he isn't, so you suspect other one is the wolf, but he isn't too; so a time comes when you realise you've suspected everyone, except the one who is, and this moment is when the film reveals it.

Speaking about the actors, Amanda Seyfried is one of my favourite ones and a kind of it girl for me, so you know, for me she played her role in a brilliant way. The other two main characters were the woodcutter and the blacksmith, both of them were so hot, so maybe if you see the film and you don't like it at least you'll gladden your sight!

In my opinion it was so good, so I recommend it to you.

Mientras que Annie estaba en la Gran Manzana, yo estaba aquí en Madrid, a cargo de nuestro blog y

pasándolo bien.

Un día quedé con unos amigos para ir al cine a ver "¿Caperucita Roja, a quién tienes miedo?" y nos gustó mucho. La película es muy entretenida y cuando descubres quien es el lobo te quedas muy sorprendida, porque nunca has pensado que era él,  quiero decir, sospechaa que uno , pero luego no lo es, por lo que sospechas que otro es el lobo, pero no es tampoco, así que hasta que llega un momento en el que te das cuenta que has sospechado de todo el mundo menos del que, y este momento es cuando la película te lo revela.

Hablando de los actores, Amanda Seyfried es una de mis favoritas y una de mis it girls , así que pienso que se metió muy bien en su papel. Los otros dos personajes principales fueron el leñador y el herrero, los dos eestaban bastante buenos, así que tal vez si no os gusta la película, por lo menos os alegráis un rato la vista :)

En mi opinión está genial, así que os la recomiendo.

Olivia Palermo is the cover of Elle Mexican magazine this month

Hi bloggers and avid readers! How are you doing today? Last day we were reading fashion webs and we found that the new cover of Elle Mexican magazine starring Olivia Palermo. Don't you love it? It is true that she always is gorgeous but this cover is completely amazing!

She wears a pair of high heels designed by Christian Louboutin (we love his designs we want all of them).

 They are a pair of red sandals that try to copy the shape of a chain and they are tied to the ankle with a golden strap.

It seems that Olivia does love the red nails, so do us, they are really stylish and they combine with almost everything.

In former posts we have said that the ethnic influence is in fashion this summer, we can see it in this cover. Olivia wears an Oriental red dress with  a pattern that remind us China with those embroideries, WE LIKE IT A LOT. If we had to go to an Oriental party we would choose this dress. It is marvelous because it is a flounce dress which is also in fashion this season.

Speaking about the accessories, she wears two Gypsy bangles which make the look more stylish if it is possible. Finally we have to remark the amazing position that Olivia has taken with  that natural hair movement and the hand holding the dress that let us see her leg which it's really strange because of the lenght of her left knee, however it doesn't matter she is gorgeous.

To sum up we love that cover because of the beautiful dress and the sexy position that Olivia's taken.

¡Hola bloggers y lectores habituales de Miladies**! ¿Cómo estáis hoy? El otro día estábamos leyendo webs de moda y nos encontramos con que la nueva portada de la revista Elle México es Olivia Palermo. ¿No os encanta? Es cierto que siempre va guapísima, pero esta portada está TOTAL :)

Lleva un par de zapatos de tacón diseñados por Christian Louboutin (amamos sus diseños los queremos todos). Son sandalias rojas que tratan de copiar la forma de una cadena y están atadas al tobillo con una cinta dorada.

Parece que Olivia ama las uñas de color rojo, ¡igual que nosotras!, y es que son elegantes y combinan con casi todo.

En posts anteriores hemos dicho que la influencia étnica está de moda este verano, esto lo podemos ver en la portada de este número de Elle. Olivia lleva un vestido rojo oriental, con un estampado que nos recuerdan a China con esos bordados, ¡es precioso! Si tuviéramos que ir a una fiesta oriental elegiríamos este vestido. Es maravilloso porque es un vestido de volantes que también está de moda esta temporada.

En cuanto a los accesorios, lleva dos brazaletes gitanos que hacen que el look sea más estiloso, si es posible. Por último hay que destacar la posición increíble que Olivia ha tomado con ese movimiento natural del cabello y la mano que sostiene el vestido y que nos deja ver su pierna, que es realmente extraña debido a la longitud de su rodilla izquierda, sin embargo, no importa sigue siendo una magnífica portada.

En resumen nos encanta la portada por el precioso vestido y  la posición sexy de Olivia.

But the best of all is Blake Lively in Elle Singapure, she´s wonderful! She wears a Chanel`s total look except the peep toe by Louboutin, we have no comments for her, she's absolutely gorgeous!

Have you realised who is the cover of Vogue magazine this month?

Some days ago a follower put a comment and she told us that she was looking forward a post about Jon Kortajarena...So here it is.

Jon Kortajarena is a Spanish model and probably the most handsome man in the whole world.

This month he is on the cover of Vogue magazine with the international model Anja Rubik and Andrés Velencoso (another Spanish model who is Kylie Minogue's boyfriend.).

In other post we will talk about ones of  Jon's perfect looks or advertisements but today it's time to know more things about him that probably you don't know.

Almost everyone of us associate someone famous, and especially a model, with a person who isn't interested in the culture, literature and all that things, only in their beauty.

Well Jon Kortajarena isn't only handsome he also has and is lots of things that we don't know and that are really curious and they do give him a vision completely different.

He do like reading and ones of his favorite books are Siddhartha(I hate that book, although Annie doesn't dislike it at all), The Life's Wheel, The Perfum or any book written by Paulo Coelho.

One of his funniest little ways is that he doesn't let someone who isn't is mother cut his fringe even being a famous international model who has to have his hair cut and combed almost everyday.

His favourite singers are Miguel Bosé(a Spanish famous 80's singer), Lenny Kravitz and Black Eyes Peas is  his favourite music band.

He does love going out in New York, going to that famous and posh clubs, and like every Basque he loves going out to eat the famous pintxos in Bilbao, the Spanish city where he was born (food in little proportions that we eat in Spain which usually is  accompanied with a beer, a Coke or things like that.).

Speaking about the cover, what could we say? He is gorgeous in every photo that you can take of him. Although Anja wears a bright blue dress and Andrés Velencoso is also handsome, you can't pay attention to them because Jon is overwhelming and you do set your sights on him. He wears an elegant black suit with a white shirt, but who care it? Her hair is combed directed toward up and he has his left hand inside his pocket, but if you didn't look at the cover 100 hundreds times, would you realise it?

Hace unos días un seguidor puso un comentario diciéndonos que ya era hora de que hiciésemos un post sobre Jon Kortajarena ... Así que aquí está.

Jon Kortajarena es un modelo español y probablemente el hombre más guapo del mundo entero.

Este mes está en la portada de la revista Vogue con la top model internacional Anja Rubik y Andrés Velencoso (otro modelo español que es el novio de Kylie Minogue.).

En otro post hablaremos de looks de Jon o de uno de sus múltiples anuncios pero hoy este post es para que aprendáis más cosas sobre él que, probablemente no lo sepáis.

Casi todos nosotros asociamos famosos, y sobre todo una modelo, con una persona que no está interesado en la cultura, la literatura y todas las cosas que no sean su belleza.

Bueno Jon Kortajarena no sólo es guapo, hace un montón de cosas que no conocemos y que son realmente curiosas y que dan una visión completamente diferente.

Le encanta la lectura y sus libros favoritos son Siddhartha (odio ese libro, aunque Annie no le desagrada del todo), La Rueda de la Vida, El perfume o cualquier otro libro escrito por Paulo Coelho.
Una sus manías más divertidas es que no deja que nadie que no sea su madre le corte el flequillo, incluso siendo un modelo internacional que tiene peinarse y cortarse el pelo todos los días.

Sus cantantes favoritos son Miguel Bosé (un famoso cantante español de los 80), Lenny Kravitz y Black Eyes Peas es su banda de música favorita.

Por supuesto ama salir en Nueva York, por los clubes famosos y elegantes, y como todos los vascos le encanta salir a comer los famosos pintxos en Bilbao, la ciudad española donde nació.

Hablando sobre la portada, ¿qué podríamos decir? Él es magnífico en todas las fotos que se puedan tomar de él. Aunque Anja lleva un vestido azul brillante y Andrés Velencoso es guapo también , no se les puede prestar atención a ellos, porque Jon es abrumador y no puedes parar de clavar su mirada en él. Viste un elegante traje negro con una camisa blanca, pero ¿a quién le importa? Lleva el pelo de punta y su mano izquierda está en el bolsillo metida, pero si no os fijáis en la portada 100 veces cientos, ¿os dáis cuenta?

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Have you ever watched Breakfast at Tiffany's? If your answer is no, we hope that after this post you will be encourage to watch it. Although it is an old film, it is one of our favourite films.

Her main actress, Audrey Hepburn. She is so stylish and  she is cheerful, funny and really pretty. In other posts we will talk about some of their looks but today we are going to speak about her most famous film.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is about a girl who wants to be rich and she always has dinner with a rich man, everyday a different one. Then when they are almost finished she asks him for fifty dollars to go to the boudoir and it is when she leaves the restaurant leaving her date there because she says that she is a free spirit and nobody is going to finish with her freedom.

One day a new neighbor will arrive at her house and she will get on well with him. He is a writer and he will fall in love with her although he is being paid for sexual favours by a rich woman. The whole plot revolves around this friendship between Holy and Paul and the adventures that they will live together... Also there is a Chinese man who is all the time telling of Holy and he is really funny you'll have some laughs with him.

This film is based on a book named: "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Truman Capote. We haven't read it but we would love so maybe on Easter we'll read it and we'll write a post about it.

Finally here we leave you a video that it is the beginning of the film where appears a beautiful Audrey Hepburn with a gorgeous black dress (we'll post about it soon ) having breakfast at Tiffany's and a lovely song is being played at the moment. YOU'LL ADORE IT !

¿Habéis visto alguna vez Desayuno con diamantes? Si vuestra respuesta es no, esperamos que después de este post os animamos a verla. Aunque es una película antigua, es una de nuestras favoritas.

La actriz principal es Audrey Hepburn. Ella es elegante alegre, divertida y guapísima En otros posts que haremos hablaremos de algunos de sus looks, pero hoy vamos a hablar de su película más famosa.

Desayuno con diamantes es sobre una chica que quiere ser rica y ella siempre cena con un hombre rico, cada día con uno diferente. Entonces cuando casi han terminado ella le pide cincuenta dólares para ir al tocador y es cuando Holy abandona el restaurante dejando allí a su cita porque ella dice que ella es un espíritu libre y que nadie va a acabar con su libertad.

Un día, un nuevo vecino llega a su casa y se caen bien. Él es escritor y se enamorará de ella a pesar de que él gane dinero por favores sexuales a una mujer rica. Toda la trama gira en torno a esta amistad entre Holy y Paul y las aventuras que vivirán juntos ... También hay un chino que está todo el tiempo regañando a Holy y es super divertido, os echaréis un par de risas con él.

Esta película está basada en un libro llamado: "Desayuno con diamantes" de Truman Capote. No lo hemos leído, pero nos gustaría así que tal vez en Semana Santa lo leeremos y escribimos un post sobre él.

Por último, os dejamos un video del comienzo de la película donde aparece una guapísima Audrey Hepburn con un hermoso vestido negro (vamos a escribir sobre él en breve) desayunando en Tiffany's y una canción preciosa se puede escuchar de fondo. ¡OS ENCANTARÁ!

The Last Song

Some of you probably have finished your exams so you have plenty of free time, and maybe you get bored of blogging all the day. We have the solution to your problem.

Why don't you buy a book that probably you have seen the film of it but it doesn't have anything to do next to the book which is better and more enjoyable?

We recommend you the book of The last song by Nicholas Sparks which is about a girl who is going to spend the summer with his father and she doesn't really like this idea because she is angry with their parents therefore they got divorced some years ago.

Although there are going to happen things that will do this summer the best and the worst summer of her lifetime at the same time.

Doesn't it seem interesting? We've read it and we've watched the film and it is much better the book, although Liam Hemsworth is such as delightful guy.

There we put a passage, we hope you enjoy it and it encourage you to read it !

Will looked at the window.

This time she was sure that he was asking it because he wanted to be alone some time with her, because he liked her, although she doesn't know if she has the same feelings at him.

Ronnie stared at him.

-I would love to take a walk...

Muchos de vosotras probablemente habréis acabado vuestros exámenes y tenéis mucho tiempo libre y quizás os aburris de estar blogeando todo el día. Miladies** tiene la solución a tu problema.

Por qué no compras un libro que te proponemos y que probablemente hayas visto la película, que no tiene nada que hacer al lado del libro que es mejor y más entretenido.

Os recomendamos el libro de La Última Canción de Nicholas Sparks que trata sobre una chica que va a pasar el verano con su padre y a ella no le gusta del todo esto porque está enfada com sus padres ya que se divorciaron unos años atrás.

Pero van a ocurrir cosas que van a hacer que este sea el mejor y el peor de su vida al mismo tiempo.

¿No os parece interesante? Nosotros ya lo hemos leído y lo hemos visto en la película, y el libro es mucho mejor que la película aunque Liam Hemsworth sea una especie de chico divino.

Aquí os dejamos un fragmento, esperamos que os guste y que os anime a seguir leyéndolo.

Cuando la oscuridad rodeó la casa y todos empezaron a perder interés en el póquer mentiroso, notó que Will la observaba. Ronnie le dedicó una sonrisa obsequiosa.

Ronnie lo miró directamente a los ojos.
-Me encantaría salir a sar una vuelta.

   Hey! Today I´ve noticed, when I was looking for the new magacines that are came out on Mondays, that the Cuore only costs 1 euro! This magacine is the best, in our opinion, because know how to join gossips and fashion. The section of the best and the worst dressed and the one where you can see what the famous chain have now are very good! I don´t know if this kind of magacine exists in other countries, but in Spain you can find it in every newsstand. So hurry up and buy it, because the soldes have come to the magacines too! ♥

Usually it costs 1,50 euros, so it´s not expensive, but this week is even cheaper so what are you waiting for?

Holaa :) Hoy nos hemos dado cuenta cuando estabamos mirando en el kiosco las revistas que salen a la venta los lunes que la revista Cuore sólo cuesta 1 euro! Este Magacine es el mejor, en nuestra opinión, porque sabe cómo unir cotilleos y moda. La sección de las mejores y peores vestidos y otra donde  puedes ver lo que venden las grandes cadenas en estos  momentos son muy buenas No sé si este tipo de Magacine existe en otros países, pero en España se puede encontrar en cada puesto de periódicos. Así que date prisa y comprala , porque las rebajas han llegado tambien a las revistas!  ♥
