LEAVING...

Hi guys! I'm Marta and tomorrow I'm going to my village. Truly, I'm kind of excited because I have to take some important decisions during my time there that might change my life and I have to improve some things  as my English,  my French, even rollerblading ! Of course also I have to relax and have fun. I'll be so busy as you can see! By the way  two friends of mine are coming to my village's parties, so what else could I dream about? Then I'm going to Majorca where I'm going to have fun with friends during 10 days (I can't wait) and finally I'm going to Seville to spend some days with my friend Paula. (I do think that I'll start lessons with several bags under the eyes).

This summer is going to kill me! I won't  stop...but I'll do have fun! It's going to be one of my best summers ever!

Annie is going to keep on blogging  and I'll keep on responding your comments and reading your blogs thanks of my Blackberry (and maybe one day I'll blog about what I'm doing, but I'm not sure if I'll can. Hola chicos! Soy Marta y mañana me voy a mi pueblo. La verdad es que estoy bastante entusiasmada porque tengo que tomar algunas decisiones importantes durante mi tiempo allí que podrían cambiar mi vida y tengo que mejorar mi inglés o francés, patinar, incluso! Siempre mezclado con tiempo de ocio y descanso En tanto años que llevo yendo nunca he tenido que hacer tantas cosas, ¡voy a acabar agotada! Además dos amigas mías vienen a las fiestas de mi pueblo, así que ¿qué más podría pedir? Después me voy a Mallorca, y me voy con varias amigas, ¡así que la diversión está asegurada! (¡no veo el momento de coger el avión!) y, finalmente, me voy a Sevilla a pasar unos días con mi amiga Paula. (Creo que voy a empezar las clases con un montonazo de ojeras).

¡Este verano me va a matar! ¡No voy a parar! Aunque fijo que será uno de los mejores veranos de mi vida...

Annie va a seguir blogueando y yo voy a seguir respondiendo a vuestros comentarios y leyendo vuestros blogs gracias a mi Blackberry (y tal vez algún día puedo hacer un blog sobre lo que estoy haciendo, pero no os aseguro que pueda, pero con twitter podréis saber muchísimas cosas sobre lo que hago o lo que veo. Llaollao.

Hello bloggers!  What´s up? We´re overjoyed… thank you so much, we’re 402 followers! We´re really grateful to everyone that’s supporting us and making us believe that our time spent here is worth it… We can only say that THANK YOU!

And after this, we have to post something, but I have to admit that I have watched nothing the TV and these days in Madrid I´m only hanging out with my friends, because after a month away I missed them so much! Anyway, yesterday evening a friend of mine and me were walking along Fuencarral’s street (but it´s not the unique, cause I saw one in Gandia too, but I don´t know if it exists abroad…) and we were so tired that we stopped for resting a while in LLAOLLAO a “new place” where you can have frozen yogurt, but not only frozen yogurt is served, but iced-drinks, mix of fruits, with toppings…. I do like it, and I thought that is healthy that the McFlurry J

I choose the Sensations, which have iced-watermelon drink and frozen yogurt with a sauce (dark chocolate in my case) and strawberries ( I chose peach due to strawberries were finished) It costs 3.5 euros.

I like it a lot, it´s refreshing as well as satisfying and I think that is the perfect choice for a summer evening! But if you don´t like this mix there are tones of them, you can only have yogurt with three topping or only iced-drinks or use different kind of  fruits, or use only sauces, or crunchy-chocolates…  In tastes nothing is written, and here you´re able to create your perfect mixture. 

I only have talked about this brand, but I know some more… Have you ever tried Frozen Yogurt? In my opinion is the new fad. Does it exist in your city? Do you like it?

Hola bloggers! Qué tal? Nosotras contentísimas… Muchísimas gracias, ya tenemos 402 seguidores! Estamos super agradecidas a todos los que nos apoyáis y nos hacéis creer que el tiempo que pasamos aquí merece la pena, porque nos da muchas alegrías de verdad,  solo podemos deciros GRACIAS!

Y después de esto tenemos que hablar de algo, pero tengo que admitir que no he visto nada la tele, ni las revistas, y estos días en Madrid no paro en casa, porque tras un mes sin ver a mis amigos ya les echaba de menos! Bueno, ayer por la tarde íbamos paseando una amiga y yo por la calle Fuencarral (pero no es el único sitio porque también lo ví en Gandia) y como estábamos tan cansadas nos sentamos un ratito en un sitio para nosotras nuevo llamado LLAOLLAO, donde se toma yogurt  helado, pero no solo eso, sino que también granizados, yogurt con frutas, salsas… Me gustó bastante, y me parece que es más sano que el McFlurry J

Yo elegí el Sensations, que lleva granizado de sandia (buenisimo, no sabia nada a azucar) yogurt helado por encima con salsa, en mi caso, de chocolate, y fresas, pero se les habían acabado y elegí melocotón. Y me costó 3.5.

Sólo he hablado de esta marca, pero conozco alguna más... Habéis probado alguna vez el yogurt helado? Yo creo que se está poniendo muy de moda, están abriendo en muchos sitios. Hay alguno en vuestra ciudad? Y os gusta?

Dear holiday,

Hello bloggers! What´s up? I´m Annie and I´ve already arrived home... I missed the beach so much!

I´ve been three weeks in the Mediterranean Coast: First in Guardamar and then in Gandia.

In Guardamar you can walk in the dunes, among the palm trees and in the seashore with the foam wetting my feets... I stayed there a week, cause I´ve visited Alicante too :)

I've realised that in every town there´s usually a "Flower's Square"...

The "Gran Via", the most important street in Alicante that cross the city.

Anyway after Guardamar I went to Gandia, in Valencia. I try to go there every summer and I do love it! In my opinion is one of the best beaches in the world, not in beauty but in lenght and save... The worst thing!? Lot of people must think as me, cause there's always tones of families, youngs, retired... 

I've been practising french with some french friends, and now I can´t even think in another language! Even with my spanish friends I say french words(Yes, I´m stupid, it`s more serious that I had thought) but in some days Ill be used to english, promised :)

Sea, I love you.

 

Oh, and I didn´t stop thinking about the blog :)

Hola bloggers! Qué tal todo? Soy Annie! Ya he vuelto de la playita, aunque ya la hecho de menos!

He estado tres semanas por la costa mediterranea, primero estuve una semana en Guardamar y después otras  dos en Gandia.

En Guardamar (Alicante) puedes pasear por las dunas, entre las palmeras, por la orilla o por el pueblo. También visité Alicante, que no había estado nunca y eso que sólo está a 4o km...

Las raices de los árboles del paseo Canalejas salían directamente de las ramas, y eran muy gruesas!

Paseando por el centro histórico vimos una plaza donde había una acuario que representaba el ecosistema mediterraneo.

Después de esta semana he pasado la primera quincena en Gandia (Valencia) Me gusta ir casi todos los veranos, porque me encanta! En mi opinión es una de las mejores playas del mundo, no por la belleza, pero sísu anchura, su calidad de arena, su seguridad... Lo malo? Demasiada gente piensa como yo, porque siempre hay un montón de familias, jovenes, jubilados...

Yo allí he estado practicando mi francés con unos amigos franceses y ahora se me hace dificil pensar en otra lengua! Incluso cuando he hablado con mis amigas he soltado palabras francesas ( Lo sé, soy tonta, me ha trastocado más de lo que esperaba) pero en unos días ya estaré acostumbrada al inglés de nuevo!

La playa es muy ancha,pero un día llegue a contar 7 filas de sombrillas, y eso que era la 1era de julio!

Mar, te quiero.

Y también me acorde del blog :)

Espero que esteis teniendo unas buenas vacaciones, o si no las tenéis, que por lo menos esteis disfrutando del verano!

Setbacks and joys

Hi guys! I'm Marta and I really feel so sorry, because we haven't blogged for years, although we have some good excuses.

I had a cold (yes you read rightly, I had a cold in summer), so i had a terrible headache that makes me feel so tired that I couldn't switch on my computer and just write a little bit on our blog. On the other hand Annie is in the beach so she doesn't have Internet.

However, we have some joys too. Annie is coming back from the beach on Saturday, so I will spend some time with her and the truth is that I miss my BFF so much. But there is something else, actually two things. Annie and me did one exam, but a difficult one, and both of us have passed it and it was truly impossible, so we are proud of ourselves. In addition, I have passed with good marks my English exam that scared me so much that Annie wrote me something beautiful to support me. So you can imagine, I'm overjoyed.

That's all folks, I'll be waiting for you on Saturday :)

¡Hola chicos! Soy Marta y hoy os quería pedir perdón por todo lo que hemos tardado en actualizar, aunque tenemos algunas buenas excusas.

He cogido un terrible resfriado, (si habéis leído bien, un resfriado en verano) así que tenía un dolor de cabeza tan grande que estaba tan cansada que no tenía fuerzas ni para encender el ordenador y escribir un poco en el blog. Por otro lado Annie está en la playa por lo que no tiene Internet.

Sin embargo, tenemos algunas alegrías también. Annie vuelve de la playa el sábado, así que podré pasar algún ratillo con ella y la verdad es que echo muchísimo de menos a mi BFF. Pero hay algo más, en realidad, dos cosas. Annie y yo hicimos un examen muy difícil hace poco. Ambas lo hemos aprobado y la verdad es que aprobar parecía una hazaña imposible. Así que estamos orgullosísimas de nosotras mismas. Por último he aprobado el examen de inglés que hize y que tanto me asustaba que Annie me escribió esto tan bonito y con buena nota. Así que imaginaros, estoy super contenta.

Esto es todo amigos, os estaré esperando el sábado.

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

Summer is the time when we spend everyday one hour or two reading a good book.I don't know what is reading Annie now that she is in the beach, but me is reading "Message in a bottle" by Nicholas Sparks. I've only read one book by this author before it was "The Last Song" , probably one of the best books I've ever read and one of my favourite ones.  So does Laura, a good friend of us who has lent me that book afterwards I lent her "The Last Song".

"Message in a bottle" tells the story of a woman that finds a bottle in the beach where is a letter from a man to her dead wife and certainly it is the most beautiful letter this journalist (Theresa) has ever read. So when she finds two letters more written by the same author she decided to know him and...

Do you want to know how does it end? Come on and read it! I assure you it is worth it, you'll love it as much as me. I can't wait to finish the book! So I leave you :) OMG! I nearly forgot to tell you that there is a film based on that book, so I guess that when I'll finish it, I'll watch it and I'll tell you how it is.

Tomorrow I'm going sales with my good friend Almu, so I'll show you my purchases :)

P.S: You know what?  Once I was lied down in the grass with Annie at " El Retiro" the most famous park of Madrid, and I bought a Coke, so when I drank it I decided to put a paper inside it with our blog and leave it near the bin so anyone could find it. HOLY COW :)

En verano es cuando dedicamos una hora o dos al día a leer un buen libro, de estos que te enganchen y no puedas dejar de leer. No sé el libro que se estará leyendo ahora Annie en la playa, pero yo estoy leyendo "El Mensaje" de Nicholas Sparks. Sólo he leído un libro de este autor antes y fue "La Última Canción", probablemente uno de los mejores libros que he leído y uno de mis favoritos. Lo mismo sucede con Laura, una buenísima  amiga nuestra que me ha prestado este  libro después de que le prestase "La Última Canción".

"El Mensaje" cuenta la historia de una mujer que encuentra una botella en la playa, donde hay una carta de un hombre a su esposa muerta y sin duda es la carta más hermosa de esta periodista (Theresa)  ha leído jamás. Así que cuando se encuentra con otras dos cartas escritas por el mismo autor se decide a conocerle y ...

¿Queréis saber cómo termina? ¡Pues vamos leerlo! Os aseguro que vale la pena, os va a encantar tanto como a mí.  ¡No puedo esperar a terminar el libro! Así que os dejo:) OMG! Casi se me olvida deciros que hay una película basada en este libro, así que supongo que cuando terminé el libro la veré, y ya os contaré qué tal está.

Mañana me voy de rebajas con mi gran amiga Almu, así que pronto bloggearé lo que me compre :)

P.D: ¿Sabéis qué? Una vez que estaba tumbada en el césped con Annie en El Retiro me compré una Coca-Cola, así que cuando me la tomé me decidí a poner un papel en su interior con nuestro blog y la dejé cerca de la caja para que alguien pudiera encontrarlo. Fue genial :)
